Perfect for the seriously committed hunter and built with cutting-edge technology, not only that, Armasight's 1.5-12x25 Predator Thermal-Imaging Weapon Sight is easy to use. Using the simple and intuitive controls and functions, this solid state, uncooled, long-wave infrared and magnified weapon scope allows you to detect targets by cutting through snow, smoke, fog and other atmospheric obscurations. Useful during the day and a huge advantage at night, the Predator boasts tons of special, user-adjustable imaging tools. Its Active Contrast Enhancement (ACE) digitally corrects and automatically adjusts contrast depending on relative scene temperature. Its Second Generation Digital Enhancement (DDE) makes digital sharpness corrections for clearer imagery, less image noise and improved edge sharpening. Its Smart Scene Optimization (SSO) acts as a fine-tuning computational correction that improves the overall visual acuity for targets that are producing thermal signatures similar to the thermal signature of their environment or background. The Information-Based Histogram Equalization (IBHEQ) automatically adjusts camera gain when you encounter scenes with lots of sky or water. This algorithm helps exclude pixels determined to not contain critical information. The User-Controlled Manual Non-Uniformity Correction/Flat-Field Correction (UCMNUC/FFC) features a shutter between the camera sensor and the lens. Upon command, this shutter presents a uniform temperature source to each detector element in the array. This process quickly creates non-uniformity or flat-field corrections, and these corrections result in a more uniform image. Not only is this one of the lightest and most compact scopes in its class, it has a video output/optional video recorder with onboard replay and wireless remote control for tactical operations. Optical magnification of 1.6x, eight levels of display brightness and a digital e-zoom of 1x, 2x and 4x. Germanium objective lens keeps images clear. Six reticle patterns include a Dot 4 MOA, Line Dot, Cross Center Dot, Cross, Crosshair and “No Reticle”. Reticle color choices include black, white, red and cyan. Image pallets include White Hot, Black Hot, Fusion, Rainbow, Globow, Ironbow 1, Ironbow 2, Sepia, Color 1, Color 2, Ice-Fire, Rain and OEM Custom.
